Dear Patient

We encourage everyone to be active and aggressive in the learning process of surgery.

We provide monthly bariatric support group meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. The meetings take place in the classroom A/B on the first floor at Plaza Medical Center located at 900 Eighth Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76104.

The bariatric support group meetings provide emotional support and educational information that is valuable during this process. You will be given the facts about both Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass as well as Lap-Band approaches to weight loss surgery. You will also have the opportunity to communicate with other patients regarding their personal experiences. We encourage you to bring family and friends as they will be a big part of your support system.

It is a requirement that you attend at least two meetings prior to surgery and recommend attending one prior to your first appointment in the office. The following dates are scheduled meeting times.
