Dr. Michael Green performed Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery on March 9th, 2005, therefore, my second birthday. The day I took back control of my life, from food, and the day of a new start. Since having had the Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery procedure, I have NOT had any type of diabetes medicine whatsoever. My Sleep Apnea pressure had been reduced from 15.5 to about 10.0, and best of all, my weight has dropped from 322 pounds to 215 pounds. I use to wear 3xl-tall shirts and had a 50 inch waist, now I wear a medium/ large shirt…..still tall mans size, and now wear a waist 38 pair of jeans. Dr. Green provided the means for me to loose the weight and his extremely competent staff assists in formulating nutrition, testing, and a physical exercise program. His monthly post-op support group meets are both supportive and helpful in getting over those little ‘bumps in the road’ that we all have from time to time, during our weight loss journey.
